This type of paako embroidery is done by the Sameja and Marwada communities. This potli is from Kala Raksha, a non-profit in Sumrasar which works for the welfare of these communities.
The stitches are dense and well-finished, which is what the word paako means. There are tassels at the edges, and the potli is embellished with mirrors. The base is circular. There is good quality lining inside with no hanging embroidery threads.
